Crosspoint Church
Brooksville, Florida 2019 – 2021
This project included the design of a new 37,500 SF church located in Brooksville, Florida. The project is a Butler pre-engineered metal building with standing seam metal roof and a combination of split face CMU walls and metal wall panels. The covered drive aisle is conventionally framed steel and masonry allowing a protected drop-off area at the main entry. The project features a 10,000 SF double-height main sanctuary with a 4 foot high elevated stage with full audio-video production capabilities. An over-sized double-height grand lobby washed with natural light offers gathering areas prior to entering the main sanctuary and allows guests to socialize in the large café area and bookstore. A large 2,500 SF multi-purpose room also serves as a secondary sanctuary and a meeting hall adjacent to 10 classrooms used for Sunday school. The project has a large mezzanine for mechanical and storage use. The church’s offices are located in 2,000 SF of space off of the main sanctuary.
The 30 foot high building is a Butler truss purlin system with an MR24 metal roof and has the ability to be expanded in the future. The church is a fully-conditioned, energy-efficient building featuring an R-30 roof and R-19 walls.
RSA Architecture provided design, documentation, and construction administration for the Church project.
