Sam M. Gibbons Federal Courthouse MEP Upgrade and Renovation

Tampa, Florida 2009 – 2011

The project included study and investigation of select components of the building’s MEP systems to determine functional and technical issues with these systems in the 20-story high-rise building. Design solutions included modification of existing systems, replacement of systems, and upgrades to the MEP systems.

RSA Architecture provided investigation, design, documentation, and construction administration of the MEP Upgrade and Renovation for the Gibbons Federal Courthouse.

Scope of work included: courtroom lighting upgrades, ARRA lighting upgrades, HVAC upgrades including replacement of cooling towers, new pony chiller, and HVAC programming and pressurization upgrades, numerous plumbing and water conservation repairs, life safety upgrades, acoustic improvements, electrical upgrades, and other MEP-related renovations to the 20-story high-rise tower.
