Pickett & Associates
Tampa, Florida 2017 – 2019
This project included the design of a new 6,500 SF office building in the Westshore business district located in Tampa, Florida. The project had to meet Westshore overlay district guidelines, including minimum percentage of glass on primary elevations. The office building is a single-tenant 2-story office building with a large monument stair in a double-height, naturally-lit lobby. The project is a conventionally framed building with a standing seam metal roof and split face CMU walls. The project features 4 closed offices and the remaining office areas are open. Special considerations were given to acoustic properties in the open environment given the high percentage of exposed structure and fixtures. Building services and closed offices were located on the rear wall to stack services in a concentrated area allowing open, exposed structure in the majority of the space. The first floor features open offices and collaborative spaces with a large breakroom opening to the exterior. The second floor has a large open office area with a large conference room opening to an elevated deck that serves as an indoor/ outdoor space above 2 parking spaces.
RSA Architecture provided design, documentation, and construction administration for the office building project.
