Savannah Federal Courthouse Corbel Replacement

Savannah, Georgia 2012 – 2013

The project included the investigation, design, and replacement of historic terra cotta glazed corbels that were failing due to water penetration and material deterioration for the Historic Courthouse.

RSA Architecture provided investigation, design, documentation, and construction administration of the Savannah Corbel Replacement project.

Scope of work included: The non-destructive investigation of all corbels, destructive testing of select corbels, design of new glazed terra cotta corbels, design of structural connections, and fabrication of new corbels.
